REAL ESTATE MISSION STATEMENT:
When you select me as your real estate professional, I will apply my detailed and thorough approach along with my many years of experience in effectively communicating with people. Whether your situation calls for buying or selling, I want you to feel comfortable, confident, and fully supported throughout the process.
A Personal Note:
I practiced medicine for years in California and Kauai in my private office, delivering babies, taking care of whole families, and adding many visitors and famous personalities as my patients while in Hawaii. However, due mainly to the way insurance companies reimburse providers of health care, I could no longer spend the time needed to optimally care for my patients.
I decided that real estate would provide me with an opportunity to meet all kinds of people, form long-lasting relationships, and help them with important life decisions. Real estate is not life or death, but it is a big part of it!
I am enjoying a successful, fun, and most importantly fulfilling career in real estate as well as a satisfying medical care experience serving at our local free clinic in the evening.
I specialize in luxury property sales and have achieved the Coldwell Banker designation of Previews International Luxury Properties Specialist, given to less than 5% of its agents.
I am also an avid believer in the precepts of the Arts and Crafts Movement from the early 1900's, where buildings were made to be beautiful and useful, using high quality craftsmanship and natural materials, with attention to creating areas for family life, like the hearth and the kitchen. (It arose as as a type of counter-movement to the Industrial Revolution). Asheville abounds in these "arts and crafts" or "craftsman" or "mission style homes", with "mountain style" often being used interchangeably here. The "Special Properties" section on this site contains a search option for this type of home, possibly the only one of its kind in our area, with properties selected and uploaded by hand.
As a person who believes in caring for our environment, I have achieved the title of Environmental Consultant (or ECO-Realtor) through careful training in the areas of green building and sustainability. We believe the Asheville Board of Realtors is the only one in this country to offer this type of designation.
All of the above being said, I am most happy and willing to help anyone look for their special property here, no matter what the price range or style!
